Thanks for sharing this!! I love all the old photos. You’ll appreciate - I’m wearing a dress of my grandmother’s to my brother’s wedding next week.

Like you, clothes have long been a way for me to express myself. Finding, collecting, styling, and wearing things I love all bring me joy. This year has been an interesting development for me though- I’ve only bought one single article of clothing (secondhand!) in the last ~6 months, and surprisingly (maybe I shouldn’t be surprised) my desire to buy has really dwindled… just something I’ve been mulling on lately.

I can relate to the dwindled feeling of wanting to buy something. I'm surprised (but maybe I shouldn't be) that I'm pretty satisfied with my closet and the selection of items I have in it.

Hope the wedding was fun in your grandmother's dress - how fun and what a beautiful memory!

Hey Cynthia, really enjoyed the tour through your personal journey of learning related to fashion. I was surprised and it raised a smile to read about your Buddhist father and learning to clean up his act ;) Thanks always for sharing your perspective!
